Hans Scheib

 

Hans Scheib is a German sculptor and graphic artist, best known for his wood and bronze sculptures. He was born in Potsdam in 1949 and grew up in Berlin. In 1976 he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden.

Hans Scheib lives and works in Berlin, Germany.

His works are in prestigious public and private collections around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in Berlin; Albertinum, Dresden; Grassi Museum in Leipzig; The National Gallery in Berlin; Kunsthalle Mannheim, Mannheim; and the Beijing National Art Museum. He is the winner of the 2nd Prize for Art of the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin in 1995); 2015 Bautzen Award in the field of fine arts and the Egmont Schaefer in 2014 for his drawing.
